Making Money Online, At Home, and With Blogging

A Typical Day In MY Life ~ A WAHM~

What is the day of a work at home mom like? I will just write a little bit about what my typical day is like.
I usually get up at about 3 a.m. so that I can get about 3 hours of writing(blogging) done before I have to wake my 2 teens up to get ready for school, I make them their breakfast and help them with whatever, My 17 month old son usually wakes up at about this time, too. So , I also have to get him all ready for his day. My teens leave at 7:45 and me and my little one usually watch disney, pbs, or nick jr. He plays around my feet as I do dishes and clean the house. He takes his nap at around 11 or 12 and then I can get some more work done! When he wakes up I get supper decided on and if I have to I start it. My teens get home from school at 3:30 and if I do not have to run my son around to one of his practices, we are home and I have them supper and than I get to relax for the evening and I get to bed at the same time as my little one at around 9 p.m. then I wake up at 3a.m. and it starts all over!!
My days are usually pretty much the same everyday, unless I have appointments, practices, laundry, shopping, or whatever that I need to do. MY husband is a truck driver who is usually gone on long hauls , so I have the time and the house all to myself to get a lot of work done. I love it and would not change a thing about it. This is a choice that I made about 10 years ago and do not regret it at all.

Your Purpose For Working at Home

You have it in your mind that you are wanting to stay at home and work! Why? What is your purpose for working at home?

Are you like so many women, and have never been in the work place? You thought that you were fine in your life, but either a divorce or a death came along, and now you find yourself needing to make the money to support yourself and your kids. You are the one who is doing this for their livelihood.

Are you a mom who is staying home to care for kids while hubby works and you just want a little of your own spending money? Are you just wanting to make enough to pay for special trips for the family? To purchase special items for the home? Do you just want to be able to make a contribution to the home , while doing something that you love?

Whichever you are and whatever your reason is for wanting to consider a work at home job, you have to make sure that you find something that is right for you and meaningful to do. Be sure that you are doing what you love the most. If you are doing what you love , than you will be the most productive, you will feel excited about your work, and be the most profitable at it.

Doing what you love goes along with finding your purpose in life. You need to do some serious thinking and reflection on what your life’s purpose and goals are before you decide what you will be doing at your work at home business. Maybe asking yourself the questions below will help you get started:

1. What is your real life’s purpose? What do you want to accomplish in your life?

2. How would you have to act, speak, and think to bring that purpose into reality?

3. What daily activities, choices, attitudes, and accomplishments would you choose if I lived as if my purpose meant something to me? If you are working at home , would you feel better about your choices? Would my family benefit from my choices?

4. How would you live if you were actually working on your life goal and purpose? Would working at home allow me to be myself?

This should be a starting point onto something truly amazing for you and your family. You should really put a lot of thought into starting a home based business and keep in mind that you want to be doing something that YOU love to do! Do not let others influence you, this is your goal and dream. Now get out there and live it!

I will be writing more about how to find your purpose and how to do what you love in the upcoming days and weeks.

What Home Based Business Is Right For You?

What did you want to be when you were a little kid? Thinking back to when you were a kid can be a big help in deciding what you want to do now. This will get you into the best home based business that will be something that you love. If you are doing something that you love , you will do a lot better at it and stick with it longer.
I believe that all of us is born with our own talent. You need to find out what it is to reach your dream. If you think back to when you were a kid and what you always loved doing and wanted to be when you grew up , you will gain a lot of insight into what kind of home based business will be the best for you.
When you are pursuing your special talent, you will find inner peace. The money might not roll in when you are following your dreams right away. If you find the home based business that you really love and enjoy, you will stick with it longer. You are not in it just for the money and you will stay with it through the lean times. When you really love what you are doing , you will market it more , talk about it more, and you will work harder at it. The results of this love is that you will soon be making more and more money with it.
Finding the perfect home based business for you can take some time, but if you do take your time and find the ONE that is for you , you will love it even more. YOu want something that you will enjoy working at. Something that you enjoy telling others about and something that you will want to be doing for a long time. It will be worth the time that it takes you to find the perfect home based business.

Are You Scared?

Are you a mom who is wanting to become a work at home mom ,but are scared? One of the worst things that is holding back a lot of moms is fear. You might have a genuine fear of failing or you might even have a fear of success. Both of these will hold you back from being all that you can be. You need to ask yourself some serious questions before you move forward in your dream of having a home based business:
What is the worst thing that could happen if I do fail?

What is the worst thing that could happen if I am successful?

Can I live with either one of these outcomes?

If you find out that you could live with either one of these outcomes, you have got to make the choice right now to not let fear stop you from achieving your dreams. You have got to let your greatness shine through and get out there and start working towards your goal of having a home based business.

Be A Balanced Mom

So You want to go from being a stay at home mom to being a work at home mom. Moms are pulled in many directions. There are kids, the husband, the household, and so much more. It never seems like it all gets done. To make the flip to also being a work at home mom, you need to have great time management and organization skills. This will ensure that you get everything done and still have time for your family.
Use these tips to help you find the balance to become a better mom and work at home mom:
1. Use a calendar. You will stay organized and keep track of home, school, and your work schedule with just one calendar. Having a calendar hanging in a certain place , like a kitchen, where the whole family can see it lets them know your schedule also. That way when you are working they also know it and know not to bother you. I also find that it is good to have an agenda that I can keep in my handbag so that it is with me all of the time.
2. Know when to ask for help. Let your family know if you need them to maybe help you a little bit more with housework. You might be having a busy week “at work” because of holiday or taxes.
3. Do not hold on to guilt that you might have because you are “working”. You cannot do everything. You might have to ask for help. You have to remember that what you are trying to do by starting your own home based business is for your family. Do not overextend yourself though.
4. When you are not working , spend your time with your family wisely. Do not plop down in front of the tv. Go for a walk, play a game, or something else where you are really connecting with your family.
5. Set dates on your calendar for spending time with your family and on your self. Do not let your home based business dominate your life.
6. Change things when you need to. Talk it over with your family if you are needing to change your schedule. You might have found out that you can get more done with your home based business on a certain day or time and then that will leave more time for you to be spending with family and the house.
7. Be a flexible as you can be. Leave room for change and growth. Your family is growing at the same time as your home based business. With this comes many changes that will be exciting, frustrating, and very challenging. Stay open to all of the changes.
8. Do what is best for your family and you. Don’t allow your home based business dictate what happens in your life. Don’t let long hours working keep you from spending time with your family.

With these tips and ones that you already do you should be able to find the balance of being a stay at home AND work at home mom. All it takes is planning, flexibility, and a positive attitude. You can do it if you set your mind to it. Just make sure you are always letting your family know what you are doing and why you are doing it.

WAHM ’s Are Special People!

How do we do it?? Us Work at Home Moms do all of the housework, take care of kids(hubby ,too), make sure there is food on the table, keep track of bills, and ALSO work at home. Usually when we have a home based business, the time we put in makes it equivalent to a full-time job that has a ton of hours overtime. If we have small children and babies it even seems more difficult to work out of the home. You can not put babies on your work schedule! They need you when they need you! So it takes a very special person to be able to stay at home and juggle everything we juggle. Work at Home Moms are multi-tasking geniuses. We can do several things at once and still have the “bring it on” attitude. I think maybe the reason we can be like this is because of Love. We love our family and want to be there for them , but still work and bring in much needed money. I was a latch-key kid ,so I know how it feels to go home to an empty house. I did not want that for my kids. I have tried working out of the home and it just is too hard. One of the kids gets sick and you have to miss a day of work and soon they add up and there goes your job. Working at home , I can take care of sick kids and still work. Or even if I do not want to work for a day it is very easy to catch up. I love working out of the home and do not regret the choice.
